Position Summary
This is an onsite position. Lakeside Metal Specialties, Inc., is seeking a dynamic Inside Sales & Customer Service Representative to support sales growth initiatives and ensure a seamless customer experience from inquiry to order fulfillment. This role is critical in fostering strong relationships with customers, supporting the sales team, and maintaining accurate and efficient internal sales processes through the use of CRM and ERP systems.
Qualifications (Required):
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Minimum of 4 years of customer service experience.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and cross-functional projects simultaneously.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.
Preferred:
- Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Familiarity with project management tools and principles.
- Understanding of metal fabrication or custom manufacturing processes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage all inbound customer communications (calls, emails, web inquiries) and provide timely, effective solutions with appropriate follow-up.
- Collaborate with the Outside Sales team to support annual performance goals, customer retention, and new account development.
- Input, manage, and confirm customer orders within the ERP/CRM system, ensuring correct pricing, part revisions, and delivery schedules.
- Maintain accurate customer data, process updates, and communication history within CRM systems.
- Support quoting activity by managing RFQs, preparing proposals, maintaining the RFQ log, and tracking project status and outcomes (Won/Lost).
- Prepare and issue professional proposals and quotes for customer review and approval.
- Facilitate internal processes including:
- New product onboarding and approval workflow.
- Setup sheet creation and routing.
- Tooling PO request and tracking.
- Manage price updates, tooling charges, and promotional pricing entries in ERP/MRP system.
- Monitor customer satisfaction and escalate issues to relevant departments when necessary.
- Track and analyze customer service KPIs, recommending improvements as needed.
- Assist with trade show preparation, customer visits, and vendor meetings, including occasional travel.
- Participate in strategic discussions to improve customer engagement and service delivery.
- Perform other duties and projects assigned by the VP of Sales and Marketing.

Position Summary:
The National Sales Manager (NSM) is responsible for the management and development of new and existing business relative to product, sales volumes and profitability of the specified accounts assigned to him. The NSM develops and increases sales revenue to meet assigned targets. Conducts RFQ review, MRB review, pipeline activity, CRM upkeep and follow through with customers and other functions in coordination with their project needs. Initiates new product development. The NSM Conducts contract negotiations with customers, closing the sale and developing marketing plans for contract accounts. Attends trade shows. Checks on competitive activity and develops new methods of attaining customers and retaining existing accounts. Troubleshoots problems regarding products provided. Delivers sales presentations to key clients. Meets with key clients and nurtures a close personal relationship with those clients. Position Summary:
We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Laser Operator to operate CNC fiber laser cutting equipment in a manufacturing environment. The Laser Operator is responsible for setting up and operating the laser, loading and unloading material, selecting and running programs, monitoring cut quality, and ensuring finished parts meet drawing and quality requirements.
The ideal candidate has experience with CNC laser cutting equipment, blueprint reading, precision measuring tools, and material handling. Experience with fiber laser equipment and nesting software is preferred, but we are willing to train a mechanically inclined candidate with strong manufacturing experience.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC fiber laser cutting equipment.
- Review production schedules, work orders, drawings, and cutting programs before beginning jobs.
- Load sheets of steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and other materials onto the laser cutting table.
- Verify the correct material type, thickness, quantity, and program before cutting.
- Select, load, and run established CNC laser programs.
- Monitor machine operation and cutting conditions throughout the production cycle.
- Inspect cut parts for dimensional accuracy, edge quality, and conformance to drawings.
- Use tape measures, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring equipment as required.
- Make appropriate machine adjustments within established operating procedures.
- Identify and report problems involving cut quality, material, programs, equipment, or tooling.
- Remove completed parts and scrap from the cutting table.
- Identify, count, organize, and stage completed parts for the next manufacturing operation.
- Properly identify and return usable remnant material to inventory.
- Maintain accurate production, material usage, scrap, and job records.
- Perform routine operator-level machine inspections and preventive maintenance.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with company 6S/housekeeping standards.
- Operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and other material-handling equipment when trained and authorized.
- Follow all company safety procedures, including requirements for PPE, machine guarding, material handling, and lockout/tagout.
- Assist with troubleshooting machine and production issues.
- Work with supervisors, maintenance, quality, engineering, and other production employees to maintain efficient workflow.
Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma or GED preferred.• Manufacturing, fabrication, machining, or CNC equipment experience preferred.
- Ability to read and understand basic blueprints and manufacturing drawings.
- Ability to accurately use basic measuring equipment.
- Basic computer skills and ability to operate computerized industrial equipment.
- Ability to perform basic shop math, including decimals and fractions.
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining production and quality standards.
- Dependable attendance and ability to work scheduled hours and overtime when required
Preferred
- Previous CNC laser operator experience.
- Experience operating fiber laser cutting equipment.

- Experience cutting mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
- Forklift and/or overhead crane experience.
- Experience in a metal fabrication or production manufacturing environment.
Physical Requirements
This position regularly requires the employee to:
- Stand and walk for extended periods during the work shift.
- Bend, stoop, reach, push, and pull as required.
- Lift and carry materials or parts weighing up to 50 pounds independently.
